HISTORY:

Marble City Transport Ltd has been a successful and well-known family business for over 50 years and has developed many good working relationships with its customers by consistently providing a high quality haulage service with round-the-clock on-call management. Our reputation enables us to keep current customers and also helps to grow and expand our customer base.

Marble City Transport was founded by Sean Brett Snr. In1961. He started with one truck hauling sugar beet for local farmers and beer for Smithwicks Brewery in Kilkenny.

The company expanded throughout the years with the purchase of extra fleet, his sons took on the mantle in 1987. In 1990 Marble City Transport began delivering kegs to the retail trade for Irish Ale Breweries (presently Diageo). In 1999 we commenced with the distribution contract of Duggan Steel Group’s profiles and steel sheeting, a service we still proudly carry out today.

Marble City Transport Ltd is an independent company, wholly owned and controlled by it’s directors.
 
The company has fleet insurance, employers & public liability and goods in transit insurance.
 
All fleet is registered and DOE tested every year.
